Bonnie Brett will launch her latest CD, "The Elvis Costello Song Book" at Toronto's REX Hotel, hot on the heels of Costello's July 2nd performance at The Hummingbird Centre. Featuring a live performance by Bonnie and her band, the launch party will celebrate the release of a limited edition of the recording. DATE: July 4, 2003 TIME: 9:30 p.m. LOCATION: THE REX 194 Queen Street West, Toronto After five years if experimentation, Bonnie has completed an offbeat collection of some of Elvis Costello's better and lessor known songs. Stylistically this recording is a radical change for the Toronto jazz singer, who is best known for her hard swinging interpretations of the standards.
