Tour News: Edmonton and Calgary are C & N shows The "Appearances" page on the Island website has just updated the list of shows to designate Edmonton and Calgary as Costello/Nieve shows, not Imposters shows. New recording of 'Everybody's Crying Mercy' - OUT NOW Peace Songs featuring EC Now Available From the Liner Notes: "08.Elvis Costello & the Imposters - Everybody's Crying Mercy (Written by Mose Allison) Published by Mose Allison d/b/a Audre Mae Music Co. (BMI) Steve Nieve - Hammond Organ / Pete Thomas - Drums / Davey Farragher - Bass Guitar  It is a studio version - Five minutes and 14 seconds in duration. There is not a lot of information in the liner notes to indicate when/where ... Elvis is in great voice ... At the very end - there is a quiet, throaty 'dammit' that I assume is Elvis. The web site has some 30 second sound clips from the CD but none of EC. He plays it a little more 'serious' than on Kojak Variety. The Kojak version is only four minutes and eight seconds - the guitar/keyboard solos in this version are longer. As well, the guitars are a little 'edgier' on the whole.
