"...incredibly, miraculously, just like the sixties: crisp, audible lyrics sung with passion, taxt, and poise; clear political commitment; a concern by the singer to dwill within the songs and deliver them as if newly written; a deft manipulation of the overpowering noise that can be made using only a voice and six accousitc guitar strings. And then the support act left the stage and Bob Dylan came on."

After a solo set where EC introduced the songs that would later become 'All This Useless Beauty'
he returned on all nights except the 29th to join Bob for a duet on 'I Shall Be Released'. On the 31st, Chrissie Hynde and Carole King joined in for that song as well as 'Rainy Day Women Nos 12 & 35'. On the 11th Van Morrison replaced Chrissie for the two songs.
